GREAT DAY in MLS, Chris is 6-1 this Saturday

Houston we have problem, I should say that after this Saturday. The only pick I missed is Houston over Chivas USA,

I did that because typically Dominic Kinnear’s team have tendency to have more than 1 bad game in a row. Not this time.

Seattle Sounders FC – Los Angeles Galaxy 0-4

CHRIS PICK: X2 Galaxy with rate 1.925

Toronto FC – Chicago Fire 4-1

Recent TFC head coach Preki experiments starting with De Rosario and De Guzman on the bench did not worked and frustrated passionate Toronto fans, but he is smart and experienced enough to find a way to win over struggling Fire. In Chicago defense, we should see Krzysztof Król back but even with him, the Fire may face problems with keeping clean sheet. The Fire have defeated Toronto FC just once in three all-time meetings, that coming in 2008. Home field atmosphere will play role and this time Toronto FC should end up as winner.

INJURY REPORT

TORONTO FC — OUT: DF Emmanuel Gomez (R knee osteochondral injury); DF Ty Harden (R leg laceration); QUESTIONABLE: MF Martin Saric (bruised ribs)

CHICAGO FIRE — OUT: FW Calen Carr (R quad strain); DF Steven Kinney (L hamstring strain); MF John Thorrington (L quad strain); DOUBTFUL: MF Justin Mapp (L hamstring strain)

CHRIS PICK: 1 Toronto with rate 2.50

Columbus Crew – New England Revolution 3-2

The Revolution secured a playoff berth by defeating the Crew in the final game of 2009 season at Crew Stadium, snapping a three-game losing streak against Columbus, but this time will be diffrent story. Revolution roster has been devastated by massive injury and Marko Perovic red card, so major advantage is on host side and anything but the Crew sure win will be real shocker. The Crew will be without Danny O’Rourke once again; he was sent off on Saturday for the second time in three appearances this season, but versus Revs even without him Robert Warzycha’s team should be more than fine.

CHRIS PICK: 1 Crew with rate 1.66

FC Dallas – D.C. United 1-0

The teams are meeting for the second time in 10 days. United took a 4-2 victory at RFK Stadium in a U.S. Open Cup play-in match. United first win of the season came last Wednesday and that could be their confidence builder. However playing with 10 man FC Dallas surprised even them self and won in Houston last Wednesday. Win on the road with Dynamo seem to me more encouraging and United injury list is a lot longer than FCD.

CHRIS PICK: 1 FC Dallas with rate 1.90

Real Salt Lake – Philadelphia Union 3-0

Is very hard to believe that struggling Union have any chance in Utah this Saturday, especially knowing fact that Real last time lost at Rio Tinto Stadium on May 16, 2009, a span of 12 league games at home. Why they can lose to Union? Union has nothing to lose, and they will finally play without any pressure, so they will concentrate on discipline, they have too. It’s about time. For the third time in four road matches, Union had a player sent off. In Los Angeles Stefani Miglioranzi received a red card just before halftime, for lets say not very smart play. His absence wont help Union and may cost further damage. MLS champions if they think about defending title, they must win home games against teams from lower part of the weaker Eastern Conference. I am not expecting Real to get easy 3 points, sure there will be a battle but Jason Kreis and his side will manage to win their first ever meeting with Philadelphia team.

CHRIS PICK: 1 Real with rate 1.53

San Jose Earthquakes – New York Red Bulls 4-0

Red Bulls have the best start of the season in 9 years but on Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara everything could happen. Chris Wondolowski has scored goals in three consecutive games since being inserted into San Jose’s starting lineup, but is hard to compare 26 yr old Californian to Columbian superstar Juan Pablo Angel. You might think that Red Bulls are on top of the Eastern Conference for reason, but that could be little misleading. Their 3 wins = 9 points came from game with opponents located on the bottom such as DC United, FC Dallas and Union (really close game decided by penalty). They maybe not better as team, but with all the respect, individually they have better players than Earthquakes at this time. It will be another close game at Buck Shaw Stadium, but Quakes lately really know how to use home advantage. After they lost season opener to RSL, they perfect at home, and looks to me like this strike will continue. 3 points will stay at home in California, GO Earthquakes.

CHRIS PICK: 1 Earthquakes with rate 2.37

Chivas USA – Houston Dynamo 0-2

The teams are meeting for the second and final time this regular season. The Dynamo continued Chivas USA’s long drought at Robertson Stadium with a 3-0 victory on April 17, but this time final result can easily be exactly opposite. Dynamo will try to recover from shocking lost at home to weak FC Dallas on Wednesday, but besides points, they also lost crucial part of their defense, cause of Eddie Robinson knee injury. Without him and Geoff Cameron even with Brian Ching expected come back will be very difficult for Dynamo to end up with a point. Chivas on Wednesday had shooting practice on Foxboro where they demolished Revolution 4-0, but Revs played with 10 man and without 2 suspended starters, so they had easy run. Current form and home field advantage clearly suggesting Chivas as favorite, especially because Houston is not playing well on the road this year.

CHRIS PICK: 1 Chivas USA with rate 2.37

CHRIS PICKS: last Saturday 61

CHRIS PICKS: this season 3323 = accuracy  58 %
