Real Salt Lake – Houston Dynamo – 9 p.m. (ESPN2 / ESPN Deportes / ESPN360.com)
The teams are meeting for the second time this season. On April 1 Dynamo notched a 2-1 home win, but Real Salt Lake visited Houston and took a rare lead early on the road.
All of that was erased by two separate penalty kicks three minutes apart in the opening minutes of the second half, giving Houston a victory. The Dynamo have a eight-game unbeaten streak against RSL; the last Salt Lake victory came Aug. 4, 2007 (0-5-3 since), but Real at home should be able to score at least once.
The 3-0 win against Philadelphia extended RSL’s league home winning streak to 13 games, but coach Jason Kreis was not happy camper after words, that make me think.
Brian Ching returned to the substitutes’ bench, did not play on Saturday but got his call from Bob Bradley on Monday, but I doubt that he is really 100 % ready. Seem to me that his “ready to play” status is still under doctors supervision. Ching hopes to return from an April 1 hamstring injury and even not fully recover , he is still in 30 men U.S. World Cup roster. Brian Ching for sure will get ESPN attention, but actually I doubt he will play more than a half, however even without him Dynamo has lots of scoring options.
One of those game where is really tough to pick the winner, but both team can score, so I will take OVER (2.5 goals), so at least 3 goals with rate 2.10
CHRIS PICK: OVER 2.5 with rate 2.10
CHRIS PICKS: last Saturday 6 –1
CHRIS PICKS: this season 33 –23 = accuracy 58 %
