Cruzeiro became the first Brazilian club to ever win the “Triple Crown”, when they won the Brazilian Serie A, Copa do Brazil, and their regional championship all in the same season in 2003.

Cruzeiro also has an illustrious history in international competition. They are one of just eight clubs in the CONMEBOL region to achieve the CONMEBOL treble, winning the Copa Libertadores, Supercopa Sudamericana, and the Recopa Sudamericana at least once throughout their history. Cruzeiro features many excellent Brazilian players including goalkeeper Fabio, forward Kleber, midfielder and former Brazilian international Gilberto, and defender and current club captain Leonardo Silva. Cruzeiro is managed by Adilson Batista.
