Chris Wondolowski about his WONDOful season 2010 VIDEO

Chris Wondolowski after scoring hat trick in impressive 3-0 victory over Chivas USA, talks about his WONDOful year. Just 27-years old league MVP candidate Chris Wondolowski before the match named San Jose Earthquakes team’s Most Valuable Player in 2010 season. CONGRATULATIONS WONDO.

Wondolowski has had a tremendous season and is a major reason why the Earthquakes have qualified for the playoffs for the first time since their return to Major League Soccer in 2008. In his third season with the team, the Danville native is currently second in MLS in goals scored with 14 and leads the league in game-winning goals with eight. Five of those game-winners came in 1-0 wins for San Jose, which account for all of the 1-0 wins for the Quakes this season. Additionally, Wondolowski’s 17 goals are for the most scored in a single season in Earthquakes history, he just beat Ronald Cerritos’ record of 15 goals scored in 1999.  Finally, Wondolowski has accounted for 56.7% (17 of 30) of the Earthquakes’ goals this season, which is the third highest such percentage all-time in MLS history. One of his signature moments this year came on Sept. 25 when he recorded the third hat-trick in franchise history in a 3-2 win at Toronto FC. He also scored both goals in the playoff clincher on Oct. 9 in the nation’s capital against D.C. United.
