By New England Revolution UPDATE
Number of MajorLeague Soccer players participating in 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup is now down to 30.
After initially accepting Grenada’s call-up for the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, Shalrie Joseph decided this weekend to remain with the Revolution and decline the opportunity to play for his homeland … the Grenadian-born midfielder was initially included on Grenada’s roster, but had not decided if he would play in the Gold Cup … last week he informed the Revs he would accept the call-up, but on Tuesday morning, he arrived at Revolution training at Gillette Stadium and informed the technical staff he would remain with the Revs for the tournament instead of joining Grenada.
