U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team Falls to France

The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team fell 3-0 against a strong French team at the Val-de-Marne Tournament in Paris.

PARIS (Oct. 25, 2011) – The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team fell 3-0 against a strong French team at the Val-de-Marne Tournament in Paris.

The U.S. was unable to capitalize on several chances, most notably a breakaway by Herber Mejia-Flores that went straight to the French goalkeeper. Later, Danya Kafai’s attempt went over the crossbar.

The U.S. next faces Peru on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. local time, 8 a.m. ET. Both teams will be looking to rebound, with Peru coming into the match after a 1-0 loss against the Netherlands.
