As people across the United States celebrate Veterans Day and recognize the service of the men and women of the Armed Forces, U.S. Soccer and the Men’s National Team have the privilege of representing our country in a place which holds special significance to generations of Americans. Here in France, as in places all around the world, the bravery, courage, and commitment of thousands of American veterans is memorialized as a reminder of the sacrifice made by so many.

Wearing the colors of the United States is a source of great pride for all our National Teams. It is an opportunity and an obligation to represent those who wear a uniform of far greater importance.

On this day, we honor the dedication and service of those who sacrifice personally in defense of our nation and the values for which it stands. To the veterans of the U.S. military and their families, we join all Americans in offering our respect, our appreciation and our gratitude.

Yours in soccer,

U.S. Soccer
