CHICAGO (Feb. 8, 2013) – The U.S. Women’s National Team match taking place on Feb. 13 against Scotland at LP Field in Nashville, Tenn., has surpassed 10,000 tickets sold.

That attendance is approaching a Tennessee record for women’s soccer, set on Nov. 1, 1997, when the USA played Sweden in a 3-1 victory in front of 13,081 fans at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga.

The match has already broken the record for a U.S. WNT crowd in Nashville, set during the USA’s only previous visit on July 3, 2004, when 9,110 turned out at LP Field, which was then called The Coliseum.

The USA-Scotland clash, which will be the second under new head coach Tom Sermanni, will kick off at 7 p.m. CT. The two sides will also face each other tomorrow in Jacksonville, Fla., starting at 4 p.m. CT. Both matches will be streamed live on ussoccer.com.

Tickets starting at $22 are on sale through ussoccer.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, at all Ticketmaster ticket centers throughout the Nashville area (including many Kroger stores) and at the LP Field ticket office.
