Seattle Sounders vs Sporting Kansas City 1-0

In the very first match of the 19th MLS season, current MLS Cup Champions Sporting Kansas City visiting the most difficult venue to play Century Link Field, to face powerhouse Seattle Sounders FC. The game is expected to be a great promo for new season, but what we going to see to on the pitch?

Sounders FC have a seven unbeaten streak alive against Sporting, including a 1-0 win at Sporting Park last May 8 in the main meeting between the groups.

Sounders FC finished up an undefeated preseason with a 2-2 draw with D.C. United in the last match of the Carolina Challenge Cup in Charleston, S.C. Seattle had a 6-0-3 record in readiness matches, including a 3-0-3 imprint against MLS clubs.

Sounders saw their undefeated preseason run reach an end in their last arrangement match, falling 4-1 to Columbus in the title match of the Disney Pro Soccer Classic in Kissimmee, Florida.

Sounders FC midfielder Clint Dempsey was the only MLS player in the U.S. national team for the midweek 0-2 loss to Ukraine.

The crowd in Seattle is absolutely the best in MLS, sure they will make the exiting atmosphere to start the season, but on the field we will see lots of tactics, and discipline in both defensive formations.

Defensively and on the middle, both teams pretty equal, but Sounders offense is ranked little higher than Sporting, plus they playing at home. Do not anticipate many goals there, but after good game Sounders should be able to score game winner.
