MLS Wednesday Preview, Picks and Predictions

At this point FIFA dates really does not matter for Major League Soccer, and we have three matches on so called FIFA Wednesday. Points hungry Philadelphia Union hosting Toronto FC, with their new coach Greg Vanney. Currently 3rd on the East Revolution taking on struggling MLS Champs, and late evening on West Coast, the Chivas USA will try to stop Western Conference leaders Seattle Sounders.

The Union, Revolution and Sounders, and are my favorites to win their matches.

Current Week 25 record 42 (accuracy 66.67 % )

Last Week 24 record 812 (accuracy 40.00 % )

2014 MLS Predictions record 216272 (accuracy 44.26 % )

*Keep in mind I’m only around 44 % in my accuracy this season, but I have been there before. I’m not blaming my self for my predictions, but the players, and sometimes referees, most of the time is their fault.:)

However, despite poor start of the campaign, I’m confident trough the season, I should be able to get back to over 50%, but obvious goal is to cross 54% as earlier as possible.

Picks and predictions are usually published here at least 1-2 hours before the game time.

CHIVAS USA vs SEATTLE SOUNDERS 2-4

The Goats which is Chivas USA nick name, are running gift-shop with discounted points. They have lost 6 out of their last 7 games, and hard to imagine they can stop loaded Sounders.

Visitors are the best team in MLS now, and even with lineup rotations, they should be able to bring 3 points from this trip. I’m little concern about number of goals in this midweek match, but Sounders has enough skills in their team to score many goals.
CHRIS’S PREDICTION:SOUNDERS to WINOVER 2.5 Goals

PHILADELPHIA UNION vs TORONTO FC 1-0

Toronto FC new coach starting his journey in difficult PPL Park, against team that has no room for error, and Union will be highly motivated for this match.

On Saturday both teams facing each other in Toronto, but on Wednesday in Philadelphia, Union are my favorites, and yes we should see some goals.
CHRIS’S PREDICTION:UNION to WINOVER 2.5 Goals

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION vs SPORTING KANSAS CITY 3-1

The Revs are hot, and Sporting is not. MLS Cup Champs lost their last game at home 1-3 to Houston Dynamo, and have won only once in their last 6 matches.

The Revolution, on the other hand, won 3, draw 1, and lost just once in their last 5 matches, plus they signed USMNT member Jermaine Jones, which is always motivating for rest of the team. Sporting has the best MLS record on the road, but I don’t believe they can get result on artificial turf in Foxboro.
CHRIS’S PREDICTION:REVOLUTION to WINUNDER 2.5 Goals
