Colorado Rapids vs San Jose Earthquakes Preview and Prediction

Second game of this MLS Friday, should be even more interesting than the first one. San Jose Earthquakes visiting Colorado Rapids, to conclude their three games on the road trip. The Quakes got 4 points out their last two games after 1-1 draw at RSL, and 1-0 win in Houston last Tuesday.

MLS Friday match taking us to Florida, in match broadcast nationally on Viernes de Fútbol, red hot undefeated in last seven games New New England Revolution, for first time in MLS history taking trip to Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida to face Brazilian superstar Kaka and company. Will Orlando finally score at home?

The Earthquakes had deal with terrible news this week, their designated player Innocent Nkasiobi Emeghara a Swiss forward, underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, means he is out for 4-6 months.
In the last Quakes game wonder goal by Adam Jahn it was just enough for 3 points, but luck was with San Jose team, David Bingham saved penalty was crucial play to preserve 3 points. Task to earn points in Colorado, seem to be way more difficult.

Colorado has been playing very good soccer lately, in their last 5 games they have lost only once to Seattle Sounders, but they had really tough schedule, played FC Dallas twice (4-1, 1-1), and on the road tied 1-1 with Red Bulls and Galaxy.

The Rapids are on the bottom of the table only because refs mistakes, and cluster luck, but they looked very good in their last game. Despite the fact I’m Earthquakes  fan, I think Rapids have highest motivation, they playing at home, and they are more desperate to win.

The Quakes have taken points on their last five trips to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The Rapids haven’t defeated San Jose at home since the 2010 season, but that about to change tonight.

CHRIS’S PREDICTION: Rapids to WIN
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: UNDER 2.5 Goals*

Orlando team is very welcoming and generous host, they are still winless at the Orlando Citrus Bowl, having lost their last three home games. They have scored one goal before their faithful fans – the Kaka goal in the club’s first MLS game ever that gave it a 1-1 draw with New York City FC, but it was exactly two months ago, on March 8.
Orlando SC in their first MLS season, are typical UNDER 2.5 goals team, they participated in only 2 games (out of 8), where more than 2 goals has been scored.
The Revolution on the other hand, are very well managed, smart team, and they don’t have to score much to get points on the road.
Low scoring draw is probably the most popular pick there, but I think there is a reason why the Revolution are on the top of the table, so they have decent edge to win it.

CHRIS’S PREDICTION: Revolution WIN
