Sunday, May 17

Orlando SC despite having 1-0 lead at HT, lost 1-2 to D.C. United, which is not a big surprise, but midweek game should give huge advantage to visiting, and points hungry Galaxy.

The Galaxy have not won in four games, since April 18. MLS Cup champs didn’t win for a month, including their 1-2 loss at FC Dallas last week.
The Galaxy are waiting for Steven Gerrard arrival, but the way things developing in Western Conference, they need points so bad.
I cannot imagine Galaxy loosing in Orlando this Sunday.
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: Galaxy to WIN*
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: OVER 2.5 Goals

Philadelphia Union team is in deep crisis, and any result in this match other than their loss should be take as surprise of the week

D.C. United clearly one of the best team in MLS right now, and at least on the paper they should be heavy favorites. The only thing that lower my confidence is their midweek game, 2-1 win vs Orlando SC. Lineup rotations by United coach Ben Olsen can change the game in Phillie’s favor, but even so, I don’t see Union wining it.
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: United to WIN*
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: OVER 2.5 Goals

Saturday, May 16

Following a Cinderella run to the CONCACAF Champions League Final, the Montreal Impact are hoping the club’s form in the continental tournament will translate into success in league play.

The Impact still without a single win in a league game this season, they have to, and they about to rebound big, especially after 1-2 home loss to the Portland Timbers last Saturday on Stade Saputo.
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: Impact to WIN
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: OVER 2.5 Goals*

The Sounders are one the MLS best team, but their three-game winning streak was put to a halt last week as they fell to Columbus Crew SC 2-3 in Ohio.

At BC Place in MLS play, Whitecaps FC are undefeated vs Seattle, and I don’t see any reason to change that this Saturday. We should see some goals there.
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: Whitecaps to WIN
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: OVER 2.5 Goals

The Revolution extended their undefeated run to eight games – the club’s longest in league play since going 12 games without a defeat over the end of the 2004 season and the start of 2005 – as Charlie Davies scored for a fourth consecutive game in a 2-2 draw at Orlando City SC.

The Revolution won all three meetings between the teams a year ago, including a pair of victories at BMO Field. The Revs took a 1-0 win to close out the regular season, Oct. 25 at Gillette Stadium.
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: Draw
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: UNDER 2.5 Goals

Perfect candidate for low scoring draw, but expect unexpected.

The teams have played to draws in each of their last two matches in Houston, including a 1-1 result last April 27 at BBVA Compass Stadium. Draw is very possible, but Timbers star Diego Valeri in form giving the edge to the visitors.
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: Timbers to WIN
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: OVER 2.5 Goals

Sporting extended their modest undefeated run to three games, reaching a 1-1 draw with D.C. United on Saturday evening at RFK Stadium.

USMNT midfielder Graham Zusi injury, could be challenging for Sporting, but Rapids are not heading to Kansas City as favorites.
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: Draw
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: UNDER 2.5 Goals

San Jose Earthquakes coming back home to Avaya Stadium, after very productive three games road trip. The Silicon Valley team managed to earn 5 points in three road games, but Crew are seem to be way stronger than last three Quakes opponents.

Both teams are very solid defensively, and this could be 1-2 goals game. The Quakes have home field advantage and Chris Wondolowski, but Crew leader Federico Higuain, is also in great form.
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: Draw
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: UNDER 2.5 Goals
