MONTREAL IMPACT vs CHICAGO FIRE 2-1

After coaching change Montreal Impact all the sudden looking solid, team under Mauro Biello doesn’t concede many goals, and getting results.
In their last game, in very difficult, heavy rain conditions Didier Drogba scored his 4th goal in Impact uniform, plus also added his first MLS assist, as the Impact extended their undefeated streak to four games – their longest of the season – with a impressive 3-0 win against, one of the top teams the New England Revolution on Saturday night at Stade Saputo.
The Fire suffered their 3rd consecutive defeat in a 1-0 loss to Orlando City SC on Saturday evening at Toyota Park, enough is enough, and after the game club fired head coach Frank Yallop. Brian Bliss was named as interim head coach, but don’t expect miracles from him.

The teams are meeting for the third time this season, splitting the first two. It was in the game against Chicago Fire, Didier Drogba became the first player in MLS history to score a hat trick in his first league start – including the tying and winning goals in a four-minute span in the second half – hauling the Impact back for a 4-3 win Sept. 5 at Stade Saputo. On May 30 at Toyota Park, Harry Shipp, Jeff Larentowicz and Kennedy Igboananike netted goals to lead the Fire to a 3-0 win. When there is new coach, team typically don’t loose, but I’m afraid that even with Brian Bliss on the bench, the Fire will have hard time in Montreal, and has very little chance to get  result at Saputo Stadium. If there will be no rain, we should see high scoring match, with Impact netting one more goal than visitors. CHRIS’S PREDICTION: Impact to WIN CHRIS’S PREDICTION: OVER 2.5 Goals

HOUSTON DYNAMO vs SPORTING KANSAS CITY 1-0

This could be tricky match to predict. Sporting KC ended a 5 game winless run with a 3-1 win against FC Dallas on last Friday evening in Kansas City. Where Benny Feilhaber scored two goals in a game, but to be fair for some reason visitors made things easier for Sporting, and FC Dallas coach Oscar Pareja started the game with 3 key starters on the bench??? Referee Mark Geiger also called of a good goal for FC Dallas, so even Sporting have finally won, they are still didn’t look too convincing. On the other hand Houston Dynamo played awful, terrible game in Philadelphia, where they lost 0-2, but wasted so many scoring opportunity, and at moments they looked like they don’t want to score. It was very weird game, with Union controlling it from the beginning to the end.

Motivation seem to be key factor in this game, and Sporting have high aspiration, and would love to end regular season as high as possible in the table, to earn home field advantage for the playoffs, when Houston Dynamo at this point is playing only for pride.

Don’t expect many goals here, Sporting KC coach Peter Vermes has to rotate the lineup, because his team has tough schedule in week ahead. After coming back from Houston, on Sunday Sporting will have very important for playoffs standings match vs Sounders, and on next Wednesday, September 30 U.S. Open Cup final at Philadelphia Union. Winning in Houston will give Sporting some comfort for the next few games, and will take little pressure off their next game vs Seattle.
CHRIS’S PREDICTION: Sporting to WIN CHRIS’S PREDICTION: UNDER 2.5 Goals
