The Argentina striker’s future has been in doubt since he handed in a transfer request earlier in the season. Even after captaining City to victory in last weekend’s FA Cup final against Stoke at Wembley, Tevez suggested he might have to move back to South America for family reasons.
But Mancini, after seeing Tevez score twice in City’s 3-0 Premier League win over Stoke on Tuesday, said the forward was happy to stay put. “He has a five-year contract and has told us he wants to stay,” said Mancini. “He said that before. He never had any problem.”

The committee decided on the slots for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™, which will be as follows: AFC 4.5, CAF 5.0, CONCACAF 3.5, CONMEBOL 4.5, OFC 0.5, UEFA 13.0 and one slot the host Brazil. This is the same distribution of slots as for the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups™. For the play-offs relating to the half slots, a draw will determine how the four confederations involved (AFC, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL and OFC) will pair off. Sufficient time will be allowed between the home and away legs of these play-offs.
