UPDATE CHICAGO (Aug. 29, 2011) — U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has added Chris Pontius and Jonathan Spector to the roster for the match against Costa Rica on Sept. 2 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. FC Dallas defender Zach Loyd and Chivas USA defender Heath Pearce have withdrawn due to injury. Additionally, Fulham midfielder Clint Dempsey will remain in London to receive treatment for back spasms. Dempsey will join the team in Brussels on Sunday in advance of the match against Belgium on Sept. 6 at King Badouin Stadium.

CHICAGO (July 30, 2011) — The U.S. Men’s National Team was drawn into Group A of CONCACAF’s Semifinal Round of FIFA World Cup Qualifying during the Preliminary Draw for the 2014 FIFA World Cup that took place Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The U.S., led by new head coach Juergen Klinsmann, will begin its quest to qualify for a seventh-consecutive FIFA World Cup when Semifinal Round play in CONCACAF begins in June of 2012.

PASADENA, Calif. (June 25, 2011) – The U.S. Men’s National Team lost to Mexico 4-2 in the final of the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup in a thrilling encounter in front of more than 93,000 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., on Saturday.
The USA opened the scoring with goals from Michael Bradley and Landon Donovan to jump out to a 2-0 lead, but Mexico followed with four unanswered goals to earn its second straight Gold Cup title.

(June 11, 2011) – The U.S. Men’s National Team lost their first ever match in CONCACAF Gold Cup group play this evening with a 2-1 loss to Panama at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Fla. The loss, which was also the first against Panama, puts the U.S. in second place with one match left to play in Group C action.
The U.S. takes on Guadeloupe on Tuesday, June 14 at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kan. Kickoff for the match is 8 p.m. CT, and the match can be seen live on Fox Soccer and TeleFutura. Fox Soccer will also have a 30-minute pre-game show beginning at 7:30 p.m. CT

NEW YORK (Monday, May 23, 2010) – CONCACAF today announced the 23-player rosters of the 12 national teams participating in the 2011 Gold Cup.
The Gold Cup will begin on June 5 in Arlington, Texas before wrapping up on June 25 at the final in Pasadena, California. In total, the tournament will be played in 13 venues in 11 cities.
The champion will represent CONCACAF at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil.

CONCACAF Official Statement: UNAUTHORIZED Action Taken Versus CONCACAF General Secretary; Chuck Blazer Continues As CONCACAF General Secretary

NEW YORK (Tuesday, May 31, 2011) – Today an unauthorized declaration was made by Lisle Austin attempting to remove Chuck Blazer as General Secretary of CONCACAF.
This attempted action was taken without any authority. Under the CONCACAF Statutes, jurisdiction over the General Secretary rests solely with the CONCACAF Executive Committee which has taken no action.
