When Real Madrid signed Kaka, 29, from AC Milan, their was a sigh of relief amongst the Madrid faithful. To them his was a sign that Barcelona domination will be put on a hold. By all accounts, Kaka is a gifted footballer, a player that every team wants to have in their fold. Unfortunately, in the Madrid shirt in his first season, he was a pale shadow of his former self.

With the dust still settling from the last round of Premier League fixtures when the Manchester clubs rattled up 13 goals between them, Bolton and Wigan are next in line to try and tame the two teams with a perfect record. CHICAGO (Sept. 3, 2011) — U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann will bring 20 players to Brussels for his first match in Europe in charge of the U.S. team, facing Belgium on Sept. 6 in an international friendly. Kickoff from King Baudouin Stadium is set for 2:30 p.m. ET, and the match will be broadcast live on ESPN and ESPN3.com.
UPDATE CHICAGO (Aug. 29, 2011) — U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has added Chris Pontius and Jonathan Spector to the roster for the match against Costa Rica on Sept. 2 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. FC Dallas defender Zach Loyd and Chivas USA defender Heath Pearce have withdrawn due to injury. Additionally, Fulham midfielder Clint Dempsey will remain in London to receive treatment for back spasms. Dempsey will join the team in Brussels on Sunday in advance of the match against Belgium on Sept. 6 at King Badouin Stadium.
UEFA Europa League – Group Stage Draw
The UEFA Europa League group stage draw threw up several intriguing match-ups with 2010 winners Club Atlético de Madrid taking on Udinese Calcio and Stade Rennais FC in Group I, and Tottenham Hotspur FC meeting FC Rubin Kazan and surprise package Shamrock Rovers FC in Group A.
Draw which took place in Monaco, split 48 teams into 12 groups with other highlights including the pairing of Paris Saint-Germain FC and Athletic Club, and 2011 runners-up SC Braga facing Club Brugge KV, English second-tier club Birmingham City FC and NK Maribor.
UEFA Champions League – Group Stage DRAW
Holders FC Barcelona will meet AC Milan, FC BATE Borisov and FC Viktoria Plzeň in the UEFA Champions League group stage following the draw in Monaco. The top seeds in Group H, Josep Guardiola’s side are looking to become the first team to win the competition in successive seasons since Milan in 1989 and 1990, while FC Bayern München are targeting a place in the final at their home stadium, the Fußball Arena München, on Saturday 19 May 2012. If they are to reach the knockout phase, they must finish in the top two in Group A, which also features Villarreal CF, Manchester City FC and SSC Napoli.
USMNT defender Carlos Bocanegra signed 3 years contract with Glasgow Rangers – VIDEO
Scottish Premier League club Glasgow Rangers have signed USA defender Carlos Bocanegra on a three-year deal.
Ally McCoist’s recruitment drive has gathered pace over the last few days and former Fulham full-back Bocanegra, 32, is the latest to arrive at Ibrox.
Bocanegra, who joins from French side Saint-Etienne, could play in tomorrow’s UEFA Europa League play-off against Maribor should he receive international clearance.
