MLS PICKS

Western Conference contenders, two arguably the best, and most entertaining MLS teams, both unbeaten for a while, facing each other on Friday night on NBCSN. Red hot FC Dallas hosting unbeaten in last 6 matches Real Salt Lake, and offensive fireworks are anticipated from both sides.

FC Dallas are my favorites to win, and we should see at least 3 goals in this match..

*Keep in mind I’m only around 42 % in my accuracy this season, but I have been there before. I’m not blaming my self for my predictions, but the players, and sometimes referees, most of the time is their fault.:)

However, despite poor start of the campaign, I’m confident trough the season, I should be able to get back to over 50%, but obvious goal is to cross 54% as earlier as possible.

Current Week 23 record 1-3 (accuracy 25.00 % )

Last Week 22 record 13-9 (accuracy 59.09 % )

2014 MLS Predictions record 190-254 (accuracy 42.79 % )

Picks and predictions are usually published here at least 1-2 hours before the game time.

FC DALLAS vs REAL SALT LAKE, 9:00 PM

Western Conference contenders, one of the best, and most entertaining MLS teams, both unbeaten for a while, facing each other on Friday night on NBCSN.
Red hot FC Dallas, with amazing Fabian Castillo, and most recent player of the week Tesho Akindele playing in hot Texas, and they are on fire.
RSL have pretty solid defense and Nick Rimando as goalie, but they will have hard time keep their clean sheet. Heat can be a factor, and about 95 degrees Fahrenheit, which translates to about 32 degrees Celsius, is anticipated at game time.
FC Dallas is not only unabeaten in their last 9 MLS matches, but in their last 14 matches, they lost only twice 0-2 to English Premier League side Aston Villa, and to Philadelphia Union in U.S. Open Cup in penalties, after 1-1 draw in regulation. In those 14 games (including U.S. Open Cup matches), FC Dallas scored 31 goals.
RSL is also unbeaten in their last 6 matches, including impressive last two wins 2-1 over Sounders, and 3-0 vs Eastern Conference contender D.C. United. RSL is also in great form, and that’s what makes prediction for this match so difficult.

Red hot FC Dallas, with amazing Fabian Castillo, and most recent player of the week Tesho Akindele playing in hot Texas, and they are on fire. I’m picking FC Dallas with total at least 3 goals in the match.

  20. Hey Chris,

  21. Hey Thomas and Chris,
What are your thoughts on Toronto now? It was inevitable that a pro football team was going to get their 1st W, if not vs the 2nd worst team in the league…then vs who?

  22. I.G. You have been on the money with TFC today, I am still not sold on them.

    I am thinking:
    KC vs Colu Draw
    KC vs Colu OVER 2.5
    LA +140
    PHI -115
    NE vs Tor OVER 2.5
    SJ vs RSL Draw

    Looking forward to your post.

  30. that was a tough week we went through, lets pick up and climb collectively to .500+ over last week and this upcoming week…Personally, I am starting with the under in the RSL Concaf Game…thoughts? Step 2 will be the Red Bulls road win which is an MLS Friday night special. After that my friend, I am counting on YOU!!!

  31. just a question, if you call a win or a draw, how is that a winner? You are calling for two plays and are awarding yourself for the win either way?

  32. Hi Chris,

This is the first time I followed your tip and bet on Earthquakes to win. They are 0-2 down?

  33. Hope you had a good year Chris! Its that time of year again and am hoping you are going to post your plays this year…what are your thoughts?

  34. Are you posting this season?

  35. Crew has good chance against Vancouver….

  36. Agreed with Crew chances against Vancouver, but Whitecaps looked OK vs TFC and they playing at home.

  37. What are you three best plays for Sat?

  38. I would be careful this weekend, but I like Seattle and over 2.5 in SJ and Galaxy to win
