MLS Weekend 23 – Preview, Picks and Predictions

MLS Weekend 23 – Preview, Picks and Predictions

Eastern Conference leaders Columbus Crew facing second team in the table Philadelphia Union, both teams coached by Polish managers Robert Warzycha and Peter Nowak, and both with aspirations to have top team at least on the East. Tons of action this weekend on the west. FC Dallas will host Seattle Sounders, but real bestseller should be in Portland where Timbers host their rival the Whitecaps. California derby between Galaxy and Earthquakes always have some special taste, but this time Robbie Keane debut will still all the attention. Will Quakes use that in their advantage? Galaxy win and Rapids over The Goats are my favorite picks for this MLS Weekend. Read More »

Brad Evans' second-half goal off a penalty kick was not enough for Sounders FC to fight back from a two-nil deficit as Charlie Davies and Josh Wolff each registered a goal and an assist, giving D.C. Fredy Montero scored the early winner as Seattle Sounders FC extended its unbeaten streak to five games with a 1-nil win over the defending MLS Cup champion Colorado Rapids on Friday night at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado. MLS – Seattle Sounders vs. Los Angeles Galaxy 0-1

MLS – Seattle Sounders vs. Los Angeles Galaxy 0-1

MLS - Seattle Sounders vs. Los Angeles Galaxy - Preview, Pick and Prediction On these difficult conditions, it is hard to expect some high level, or high scoring game. If you like, UNDER 2.5 goals seem safe to me. Rain and wet field may keep movement of the ball very conservative, from both sides. Bruce Arena and Galaxy last year had perfect start of the season and been unbeaten for long time, but it was last year. Based on preseason observations and other coaches opinions, sounds like this time around Sigi will use beautiful but wet Qwest Field in his advantage. In terms of stadium atmosphere, Seattle has the loudest and the best crowd in MLS, and this time Sounders players will finally use this in their favor. Guarantee that on this nationally televised on ESPN season opener, Sounders fans will put together awesome show, as they always do. This will be great evening in Seattle, I am picking Sounders to win at rate 2.55 Read More »
