Eastern Conference leaders Columbus Crew facing second team in the table Philadelphia Union, both teams coached by Polish managers Robert Warzycha and Peter Nowak, and both with aspirations to have top team at least on the East. Tons of action this weekend on the west. FC Dallas will host Seattle Sounders, but real bestseller should be in Portland where Timbers host their rival the Whitecaps. SAN JOSE, California – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club has acquired forward Alan Gordon, defender Nana Attakora and midfielder Jacob Peterson from Toronto FC in exchange for Ryan Johnson, allocation money and an international player slot. MLS – San Jose Earthquakes vs. New England Revolution – VIDEO highlights and quotes – WATCH Bobby Convey wonder GOAL

The San Jose Earthquakes stretched their unbeaten streak to three games with a 2-1 win over the New England Revolution Saturday night at Buck Shaw Stadium. The Quakes came to life in the second half with goals from Ellis McLoughlin and Bobby Convey. McLoughlin headed home his first career goal following a perfect cross from Chris Wondolowski in the 71st minute to open the scoring. Convey then curled home an incredible free kick to give San Jose a two-goal cushion. Revs midfielder Chris Tierney scored a free kick of his own in the 86th minute to cut the score to 2-1, but the Quakes held on to win their second straight game at home. Read More »
